Heard about this place on Ch 9. I tried the fried shrimp dinner with macaroni salad potato salad. The shrimps were fried very hard but seasoned well. The macaroni salad potato salad needed salt. They were out of straws wine didn't have cocktail sauce for the shrimp. I will probably give it another try. View all feedback.
Mr. Sanders, you are a very nice gentleman and the customer service is great. However, the food is lack luster and extremely subpar. You claim that the sides are homemade which they are NOT.I had the macaroni and cheese, which my 14-year-old son could have made better from Kraft. The collard greens you can definitely tell are not homemade because they are a cut too fine similar to how you would get them from Glory. The macaroni salad is absolutely horrible. Definitely not Homemade. Publix has a better taste. The chicken is fried too well done making the layer of skin hard.If you’re looking for true southern cuisine or even good tasting food. This is not the place for you.Mr. Sanders please get some authentic tasting sides expeditiously.

But let me mention the birds! I had the 8 piece wings, and they were out of this world, hot sauce on the side that is made from scratch, mac and cheese and potato wedges, all fresh, so *bleeping* good. We will officially be regulars at Dexter’s Birdland from here on out!

We stumbled in this place with friends and it did not disappoint! We had the bottomless mimosas,Salmon croquette and grits were delicious, hubby had the chicken,which was fried to perfection and waffles. The owners were very nice and accommodating. The band was great and engaging, even played a special song for our anniversary… 10/10 will be back soon.Highly recommended!
