Nestled in a spacious upper area with stunning harbor views, this restaurant offers an outstanding dining experience. Guests rave about the incredible tomato puff soup and perfectly prepared fish and chips, complemented by a beautifully presented cheeseboard. The generous portion sizes and reasonable prices make it a local favorite, although reservations are recommended due to its popularity. While initial service can be slow, attentive staff make up for it, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Visitors can enjoy delightful cocktails, tasty appetizers, and a menu that features quality dishes. With free parking and an inviting ambiance, it's a must-visit destination.

The restaurant is situated in a spacious upper area that offers a magnificent view of the harbor. The tomato puff soup was incredible! The fish and chips were wonderfully prepared. The cheeseboard had a great presentation. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were reasonable. Although the service started off slow, it improved as we continued our meal.

This is a nice pub situated in a beautiful location. The food is of good quality and there are many locals who frequent the place. It's best to make a reservation, as it can get busy. Unfortunately, they also did not have any non-alcoholic beer available for us.

Emailed to book a table in advance, would highly recommend doing this as they get fully booked. We arrived a bit early so ended up having a drink at the bar, that wasn't an issue and they added it to our final bill. I tried the salt and chilli squid for a starter and then the haggis burger for main, it was really tasty and filling. Although the view overlooking the harbour is stunning, sadly we were at the back of the room so couldn't see it but it's in a great location. Free parking is also available just outside.

When we arrived we had a warm friendly welcome from the busy staff, our upstairs table was reserved for 19:30, we ordered our drinks and got seated soon after, we were given the right amount of time to decide what we wanted to eat, we didn’t have to wait long for our meal to arrive, the food was very good, service was very good too. Helgi’s isn’t a big place, but it’s incredibly busy so I’d recommend sitting upstairs if your able.

Eating here was amazing! the personal was friendly, we sat in a standing at the window above with a great view of the harbour. we also had a crippled pink mojito (mojito with cranberry juice) cocktail, which was also beautiful. we had to start the Cumin-Cauliflower halloumi fries and then fish and chips for the main. the fish and chips were fantastic!
