this place is a surprising gem in provo, ut. I have actually eaten ramen in japan and that is very authentic in comparison. the restaurant looks quite simply on the outside, but the taste and presentation of its rams, croquettes (fried potato in Katsu sauce aka Japanese BBQ sauce) and the mochi are anything but basic. my mouth is very happy and I came to lunchtime special: half size ram (still a generous part), choic... What Ty dislikes about Asa Ramen:
Definitely not the same as before. Chashu buns look like they were frozen and then cooked in the microwave. And then the servers were too busy on their phones the whole time. It's like we were bugging them every time we asked for a refill or anything. Never again. View all feedback.
The food was flavorful and fantastic, especially the chashu buns. Had never had anything like them before, but I saw all the good reviews, and they didn't disappoint. It's a small place and full we had to wait a few minutes just for seats at the bar. Staff was friendly and helpful. Will come again!
Everything was very delicious and the service was excellent.
We had the best experience eating ramen here. The staff was so cool and conversational, the food was awesome, and it was a really kick back environment. We had the edamame, the seaweed salad, the gyoza, the miso ramen, and the tonkatsu ramen, and all were really good.
I rarely write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience here. This place serves the best ramen in the county, without a doubt. I almost considered leaving a negative review just to keep it a secret for myself. The staff were wonderful and incredibly friendly. Within just five minutes of arriving, I was savoring some of the best ramen I've ever tasted.
