However, the hostess was lovely and invited us in and we were seated right awa... read more We showed up w/o reservations and feeling a bit sheepish from being underdressed. However, the hostess was lovely and invited us in and we were seated right away. The waiter was terrific — suggested a great Grenache by the glass vs. the one on the wine list and it was very good. We had two cocktails, dinner, wine and dessert. All was very good and we look forward to returning and being better dressed!:

This dish is small pieces of lobster in a wonderful butter/lemon sauce. We tried three different main dishes(duck, beef tenderloin stroganoff and the Seafood Papperdelle. All three entrees were outstanding. The entire experience was enhanced by the friendliness of our waiter. I can't remember his name, but he recently returned from Hawaii. They were out of the lamb chops so i opted for the hanger steak and it was perfect. Far exceeds my recent trips to a local restaurant that rhymes with Judys and the one in Portland that rhymes with blingside. The steak here had a sauce similar to bordelaise and cooked more in the French tradition (or Italian) where taste and accoutrements are important.
