I have the sloppy jethro! delicious. I wasn't really crazy about the broken pommes, but my son liked them. he had the dying man sandwich and ate it all, so I suppose it was good. the personal was really nice and friendly. the day was very rainy and creepy, it was a nice dry warm place to get out of the weather. Zero stars! The lady who greeted us was not very happy that she had to give us a table of our choice (outside) and in an empty restaurant made us wait outside. The way he treated us definitely doesn't like people with accents and other colors! After all, there was nothing to grill on the menu at this “grill restaurant”. Definitely a 4.5 rating. Food was good especially the wings and chips salsa. The chili fries were ok, the kids liked their wraps and the pork butt/ candied bacon and bologna sandwich was very good. The salads were one of the best I have seen for a side salad.
We love this hidden gem. The hot chicken sandwich is over the top delicious! We eat here every time we are in Gatlinburg. There is usually a bit of a wait to get in, but totally worth it. All of the apps are great, but that hot chicken sandwich is killer!
First off, find parking. Good luck. Then go back to where the driving/walking map app showed you were this place is. You will have to walk into the small shopping center like area. Go all the way back and you will see it. We both ordered a burger. They were good and flavorful. My potato salad was warm and I thought it tasted bland along with the coleslaw. The bathroom, there’s only one and it’s small with no proper place for the paper towels to hang. The young man who worked there just got done putting a new roll in there. He placed them on the tank of the toilet. This is a very bad location as when a person flushes the toilet, the spray can come up and get on the paper towels. I moved them to the sink surface which still isn’t good. That’s about all I can say about this spot. It’s nothing different, it’s just a burger joint.

Highly recommend the Back Alley Grill after a day in the Smokies!! I had their grilled chicken sandwich, and it was delicious!! Possibly the best grilled chicken sandwich I’ve had. Sides were good as well, great local flavor. I’d definitely come back.
