Had expectations, hoping it would get back the Mojo Dale Ec... read more Eckl’s Restaurant review Don’t go! I haven’t been here since the new owners took over 2/3 years ago. Had expectations, hoping it would get back the Mojo Dale Eckl made famous. Big disappointment. Nothing has changed at this local hole in the wall. That is except for the cloth napkins and table cloths, which is a nice touch. Oh, and a 40% to 50% increase in the prices. The steak was just awful, the local supermarket sells a much better one for $7.99 a pound. They charge $30 for what was an insult to serve. An inch of gangly fat on one end, not much better the other, thin cut and no flavor. My partner order from the small plates and small is not the word – micro is more like at $18.95! $11 for a very small glass of wine, $11 for a Dewar’s. A few years ago Eckl’s went out of business because the food was so terrible. It looks like the new owners have kept the same cook from before they came on board. Everything looked as if it was cooked on a flattop grill, you know, the type you seen in a diner. Come to think of it, you can get a much better meal at a diner and pay a third of the price. I know this is a tough review, but I don’t mind paying top notch prices, but I expect top notch food.
