Eckl's - Orchard Park
Eckl's
Description
Eckl's Restaurant presents a mixed bag of dining experiences. While many guests commend the friendly service and specific menu items, such as the bratbeef and chocolate cake, others express disappointment with the food quality and wait times. Common grievances include missing menu staples, underwhelming portions, and delays in service, which detracted from the overall enjoyment. Some patrons feel nostalgic for its former glory, noting a significant decline in quality. Despite the charm and potential of the establishment, the inconsistencies in food preparation and service suggest it may not meet the expectations of those seeking a reliable dining experience.

It great to see Eckl's open and serving one of Western New York's best signature dishes! Living in the 704, Roast Beef on Wick is a taste of home we most
I've been visiting Eckl's restaurant since I was a child. I've tried roasted meat at many places, but none compare to Eckl's. If you order your sandwich medium-rare, you'll have the best sandwich of your life. Pair it with their homemade chips and German potato salad, and you've got a fantastic meal. (And yes, potatoes count as vegetables, right? Haha! Don’t worry, you can always have your grilled chicken salad tomorrow!) The new management has done a wonderful job. Stop by and enjoy a meal just like you used to!
Fantastic to see the restaurant open again, there went on a Sunday evening with a steady but not overwhelming amount. We sat within seven minutes and had a great view of the Rindschnitzerei from the more informal dining room on the back of the restaurant. The history of the world of Jr. did the carving again, what a captivating show. The service was great as the food (both beef on wake and the Prime Rib). The main rib was a generous portion made for tasty remains the next day. The German potato salad was the best in Buffalo. We'll be back soon.
Classic family restaurant. Large portion sizes and total delicious food. The Coleslaw and the Pommes were excellent! Friendly service and reasonable prices.
The service was outstanding. The beef on the plate was very tasty, though it could have had a bit more meat. The New York cheesecake was also delicious. Everything was quite satisfactory. This was our second visit, and we were just as pleased as we were the first time. The restaurant is housed in a 200-year-old building that exudes rustic charm. Dim lighting creates a lovely atmosphere, enhanced by beautiful floral ties on the curtains and white tablecloths adorned with candles. We will definitely be returning!
