Nella's Jerk - Orangeville

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant and can't recommend it. I ordered jerk chicken and oxtail, but the rice was stale and had a crunchy texture. The overall flavor was lacking, so I would rate it just 3 out of 10. Additionally, the staff member at the counter was rather unfriendly. My suggestion to the owner would be to consider closing this establishment.

I’ve only visited Nella's since the new management took over, but I must say I’m very impressed. I wanted to sample everything on the menu before sharing my thoughts, and I can confidently say that the food here is crafted with love and passion. Every dish I’ve tried has been delightful and full of flavor. Everything tastes incredibly fresh. The warm atmosphere created by the new owners adds to the experience. The restaurant has a positive vibe from the moment you walk in. I’m looking forward to making Nella’s my go-to spot whenever I’m in Orangeville.

I dined at the restaurant two hours before closing on a weekday and ordered the J chicken, asking for extra sauce. Unfortunately, the chicken was overcooked, with the bones crumbling into small pieces, making it hard to eat. Moreover, there was hardly any extra sauce included. The macaroni salad was dry and lacked flavor, but I wasn't too concerned since they only provided a small amount of dipping sauce. Overall, I likely won't return, although I did find the staff to be friendly and accommodating.

I ordered the large Fried Chicken with rice and peas, and it was absolutely fantastic! The chicken had a crispy exterior and was perfectly cooked and juicy on the inside. It was bursting with flavor and served in generous portions. The rice and peas were fluffy and fresh, and the steamed vegetables were delicious. The new owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming as well. I will definitely be coming back soon!

I ordered a large Jerk dinner and was quite disappointed. The chicken was very dry, the salad was served warm, although the rice was decent. For $21, I expected much better quality! Overall rating: 2 out of 5.
