This was our 3rd visit and we were not disappointed. We were very glad we booked as it is always busy. Service is efficient and the food fresh and delicious. We love the rustic feel of the place. My husband rated his coffee as 'better than good' and I had the most amazing Spencer's Cocoa Dark Chocolate hot choc. Rich chocolate with the right amount of bitterness and not too sweet. We look forward to to returning. View all feedback.
What Арсений Захаров doesn't like about The Agrestic Grocer:
We had read a lot about this cafe/shop and where keen to visit. Very good range of fresh fruit and vegetables as well as local packaged and bottled local products and hampers. On site cafe had a reasonable menu but we were only after something...light so chose a vegetable pie and a quiche. These were just OK as was the coffee. Service however was pretty ordinary. Not sure we would visit again. View all feedback.
Take the wife or family for a wonderful meal, and live music Tuesday nights. Purchase a variety of fresh food.
Didn't look much from the outside but inside was a gem , with local produce, cheeses and beer the highlight. Then wander in to their rustic restaurant for a delightful shared ploughman's platter. Very friendly staff. A pity we couldn't be there for the music nights, Ruby Tuesdays.
We love the Badlands beer and as we were dropping an empty keg back stopped for lunch. As we hadn’t made a reservation, we were lucky to score a table inside and I had a salad whilst my husband had a burger, both excellent. Lovely sitting inside listening to the great duo playing outside.Lunch over, time to purchase a case of beer, some herbs, organic produce and head home.
Great little place! Beer, cheese, wine and a cafe. The food was ok... not brilliant. Friendly staff too.
Our merry little group of three ladies and moi descended upon the AG for a late breakfast, some might suggest brunch. The Tuscan villa style venue was surprisingly busy at this time with a truly eclectic mix of clientele present. We were greeted by a friendly, enthusiastic waiter, who had us seated in quick time and soon orders were taken. Miss F requested a French toast, not on the menu but a ‘no problems’ issue for the kitchen, Ms K the Turkish eggs, the other Ms K opted for an eggs and bacon sandwich, along with a Boston baked beans with poached egg and rosti for my good self. A delicious assortment of food was enjoyed by all…and plenty of it. The Trunkey Creek bacon was a stand out along with generous provisions of sour dough toast. The staff were attentive and pleasant in disposition which was evidenced in the generous servings and the ‘oh so good’ coffee…the coffee was surprisingly very good…Bill should be worried. A satisfying experience for all.
