We could sit at the bar, which is n... read more Mr Lim's was recommended to us by a local and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Booking is advisable on Fridays and Saturdays. We could sit at the bar, which is not as bad as it sounds. Decor is stylish and service was friendly. We took the 'let Jacky feed you for $55' option. It is not cheap, but the dishes were beautifully presented and well prepared. A giant oyster, dim sums, drunken duck, Korean chicken, roasted pork and shredded beef. All up a nice selection and filling enough. We tend to prefer tea with most Asian food and their tea is absolutely top quality, as well as beautifully presented in special Korean tea cups.A very nice evening out, enhanced by a Mr Lim himself who chats with the guests.

Korean chicken, steak, fried rice - all excellent. Great choice of local wines to choose from to accompany the meal. Service was prompt - only feedback we'd give is the dishes could have come out a little slower between courses to be able to enjoy each one before the next. Then the karaoke! This was something we didn't expect but what great fun! Sammy has the personality (& a great voice) to get you involved & not feel self-conscious. We had a blast & was the last thing we expected to finish the night. Couldn't recommend highly enough. Book & go eat some of the best Asian food around (better than big city restaurants offering the same - trust us!)

The restaurant is well fitted out, nicely finished, it is just a pity that they can't keep the back door closed and stop the cold Orange air coming in.The resta... read more The restaurant is well fitted out, nicely finished, it is just a pity that they can't keep the back door closed and stop the cold Orange air coming in.The restaurant was only 20% full when we arrived and the staff were all standing around the bar area, when we finally got their attention to place a drinks order (2 beers, soft drink and a bottle of Chardonnay) it took a full 20 minutes for drinks to arrive in dribs and drabs, and then the wine was warm, placed on the table with the top left on. My expectation would be that the wine was cold, and if you are paying $50 - a staff member would remove the top and poor wine for the guests... when we again got the staff's attention the warm wine was replaced and again plonked on the table.Overall the Food was ok. Pork bun flavoursome, San Choi Bau - good however short one pancake ( we were six, the menu said six and we were delivered five....) we asked for one more and it was delivered and also charged to the bill!! kingfish sashimi was ok - a bit bland, steak with vegetables - steak was beautiful, vegetables a bit under cooked.the restaurant took two sittings - 6 to 8pm and then 8 onwards - the first sitting was full and it was clearly more than they could handle and the staff were trained for. A pity - the place has promise and their sister restaurant Mr Sushi King across the road is a great success

One of the chefs eve... read more I must compliment the chefs at this restaurant. As a chef myself, it can be difficult to find a place where you truly enjoy a quality meal. One of the chefs even asked me how everything was, which was great. The service was polite and friendly, but I think it would be even better if they asked if we wanted another drink or dessert.

The food was... read more We had a fantastic experience dining at Mr Lims. The wagyu beef and sides were delicious, and we loved the interactive 'cook your own' experience. The food was incredible and unlike anything we've tried in Sydney. Mr Lims has quickly become our favorite place to eat in Orange, and we've already been back four or five times in just a few weeks. Keep up the great work Sammy and crew, we'll definitely be returning soon!
