Patmos Garden Cafe - Orange

After unexpectedly long walk to Orange Botanical Garden we found very limited food service in yhe area and were forced to settle for Patmos Cafe. We were greeted by at counter by unpleasant woman "wodda you want" before we had a chance to check out...More

We travelled in a bus in a group of 18. The meal was delicious. Service was great and we were well looked after, possibly as we were group and they knew we were coming. The food was served quickly and was hot.

Took my mum on a lunch date as we'd never been before. We weren't greeted upon arrival (a lot of cafes and restaurants do that) so we seated ourselves. There was nothing on the table, not even a menu to look over while we waited to be served. When we were finally brung over menus (we didn't see any staff around to ask for one) the staff members were very friendly. We ordered our lunch which was reasonably priced, and the food was okay.. we must have come on a off day as many reviews are quite high. in my experience there are a lot of better places in orange to visit and Patmos could be greatly improved, especially being in such a great location next to the gardens and playground.

My granddaughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our first time here after a visit to the Adventure Playground.A request for two marshmallows with her babyccino was happily acceded to. She usually shares them with her mother. This time she stuffed them both in her face to the proprietor's delight.When I apologised for the mess I had made tramping dirt through the place, his response was a smiling and very joking, "I'll get you a broom!"This kind of friendly and amiable response keeps people coming back. Thank you!

All our meals were excellent, reasonably priced and the service was helpful and friendly.Greek style food but other styles served as well.Local wines served.The cafe is next door to the botanical gardens which are worth a visit too. A short drive out of town, well worth the trip.
