Dined here while staying in Orange and enjoyed one their locally produced steaks. While eating I noticed some of the other meals coming out and they looked great. Nice atmosphere and surroundings. Staff were pleasant and service was prompt. View all feedback.
What Wilfredo Blanda doesn't like about Hotel Canobolas:
Denied we had a booking, show them our confirmation number. They said it was cancelled even though they denied it. Gave us crappy rooms, could not close the toilet door. The rooms are dirty. Noises all night so you could not sleep. Could not even...eat breakfast as they said it was fully booked even though the place is empty. It was a bad experience. View all feedback.
Nice busy bistroNo wonder when you taste the mealsEye filet Mignon was excellent, cooked to medium.
Great bistro here Kids servings generousMy Woodfired peking duck pizza was the best pizza ive hadDefinetly recommend.
We really enjoyed our steak ordered med-rare (it was perhaps a little more on the medium side than rare) it was super tasty and generously portioned for us to share. It came with chips already and we loved the perfectly undercooked veggies on the side...too, and we added a serve of their creamy mash for We wished we’d asked for the garlic sauce on the side as it was poured over the steak already and just made its way to the chips underneath we asked the friendly wait staff for an extra ramekin of sauce so we could enjoy it with the steak which was no problem at all and delivered quickly. There seemed to be an exceptional amount of wait staff on the floor to the point where they were looking for things to do (one enquired if we were still going with everything on our table mid-dinner, we thought it was quite obvious we were still getting through our meal BUT better than no service at all! Bar staff very efficient. A really busy place for a Wednesday night in Orange and we are glad we decided to stay for a tasty meal.
We usually visit Orange a few times a year but Covid has put a stop to that until now. Once again we ordered the steaks and they were good : We also noted that the place has been acquired by a Sydney conglomerate (last...Nov I think) and they are slowly going through and doing some renovations. The main Ladies/Gents bathrooms (middle of ground floor) have been closed and relocated to brand new ones nearby. Looking forward to seeing the further improvements the next time that we visit :
We stayed in the family suite for a night. Pros: separate bedrooms with queen beds and with single beds) cheap parking grand old building great restaurant (the wood fire pizza was excellent) Cons: no air...conditioning no blind on one window in corner room so it was really bright with streetlight shining in from outside no fan in bathroom and ceiling was mouldy Overall, it was ok given the price.
