It was our 50th wedding anniversary and we were greeted nicely and served exceptionally. The wine list is the largest I've ever seen. We rated the food at 9.75/10 with the lamb rump exceptional and the deserts amazing.

Amazing staff who looked after us all night. Mouth watering food and delicious wine to match. We started with the beetroot, then gnocchi and followed by the steak. For dessert we had the cheese platter and the caramel pear tart. Just wow! We chose to add local wines to each dish. Dave was very knowledgeable about the Orange region matching wines beautifully. If you're not one to spoil yourself, but do enjoy good food, do yourself a favour and get spoiling. You won't be disappointed.
Coming from Newtown in Sydney I am never short of restaurant options, but Charred in Orange blew my regular haunts out of the water! From the minute you step inside you know you are in for something special, the decor and ambience is stunning. The shared dining style was perfect for my table of 8 and the staff explained the menu well and recommended the perfect portions. A particular favourite of mine was the Fire Roasted Chicken with soubise and charred onion in roasting juices if you think you've had plenty of chicken in your time think again, this melts on your tongue! Even the little things like the bread for the table were special, handmade in the kitchen it was incredible (and I never thought I'd say that about just bread! Without a doubt the ultimate desserts were the Citrus Mess and the the Moroccan Donuts, ohhhh those donuts were divine! Add to this the perfect selection of wines to compliment every dish and cocktails to finish the night on a high! I will definitely be returning, in fact I may ask if they take standing reeat bookings!
