Our wa... read more My family visited the restaurant recently, and we have a large group of 18, including 9 kids. They were very accommodating and quickly got us all seated. Our waitress was extremely patient, attentive, and friendly (I apologize for not remembering her name). She stayed until closing time to ensure we had everything we needed. The food was fantastic! We started with Fried Green Tomatoes as an appetizer, and I had the Fish Tacos for dinner, which were delicious. We will definitely be back!

The tacos accompanied by a dinner salad had a delightful kick—spicy, but not overwhelming—and they were packed with flavor. The grilled shrimp salad was exceptional; the lettuce was fresh, and the shrimp was cooked to perfection. We also tried the shrimp appetizer, which was boiled and elegantly presented on a bed of greens alongside melted butter and cocktail sauce. We were greeted professionally upon arrival and seated immediately. Our server, a courteous young man, was very patient as we figured out our order since it was our first visit. The atmosphere is family-friendly, and they have a full bar available.

The only reason they earned a second star was because the bartender made us some excellent drinks while we waited for our table. We started with the stuffed mushroom caps, but received seven of the smallest mushrooms I've ever seen, and they were only mediocre in taste. Next, we ordered the stuffed shrimp, which were supposed to be the entrée. I love stuffed shrimp, but these were so small that the stuffing was almost nonexistent—I thought they had accidentally sent out an appetizer instead of a main course. We also ordered a loaded baked potato, which was surprisingly tiny, barely bigger than a new potato, and honestly, I half expected a hidden camera joke. The loaded potato was actually the only dish we enjoyed. For about $60 to $70, we had one alcoholic drink, one non-alcoholic drink, mushroom caps, stuffed shrimp, and the loaded baked potato. I did leave a tip because our waitress was pretty good—I always tip waitstaff, though the amount varies based on service quality. Overall, I do not recommend Cotton's in Orange Beach. Save your money and run as fast as you can from this place!

The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. Just a heads-up: there is an extra fee for payments made by credit or debit card, so it’s best to bring cash if you can.
