The Pizza Store - Orange

This is located in a strip mall. The staff were friendly and accomodating. They bring the food and drinks to your table. This venue reminded me of the mom and pop pizzerias that I used to frequent on the east coast. I was able to order personal pizzas without cheese since I am lactose intolerant. The prices are reasonable. If you are craving Italian food and want a more casual ambience and cheaper prices, this is the place to go. There is inside and outdoor seating. There are also wall mount televisions featuring sports coverages'. They serve beverages and assorted types of alcohol. There is a slight musty odor indoors that I have noticed more than once. Perhaps, the owners should use built in air refresheners or a neutral fresh cleaner that has a nice light scent like Murphys Oil Soap etc.

This reviewed is specifically in regard to their cheese pizza, as in how tasty it is, not the lumen of their lighting fixture, not the geopolitical views of the staff, not the evil credit card machine that steals 100 pennies when you swipe your card, etc. For me, the crust and savory red sauce is what makes their pizza different. If you like your food well seasoned (e.g. cuisines that uses a variety of spices and herbs, have a mix of flavor profiles, include fermented sauces and condiments, or create a lingering umami after-party in your mouth), you'll appreciate how the sauce pairs perfectly with the cheese. I like the crust to be slight brown/toasted, it's the perfect balance of a crispy but CHEWY (not doughy) crust, I can't explain it but it is just the perfect texture and taste. You can either ask them to leave it in the oven for a bit longer if you want the crust to be more crispy (but the left overs will be too dry the next day)...or you can take it home and rebake it to how you want it. For me, the center of the pizza is bit soggy so I rarely will eat it straight out of the box. My only gripe? I wish they had a white sauce option!

Pretty decent pizzas! I got their $7.99 two slices drink special. Option for me today was cheese, pepperoni, and Hawaiian. Friendly staff and the pizzas were good. Id come back again when Im in the area. Just fyi for credit card users. There is an additional charge (think about a buck)
