What Jose-Luis Rojas doesn't like about Casa Pepa:
For the price it has and the quality that is expected, it disappoints a little. The tasting menu is not impressive. It is well executed and presented, but the choice of dishes seems more designed to save on raw materials than to surprise. What is surprising is the lack of coordination of the room staff. A unique experience. This restaurant is located in the middle of an orange tree area. It has a beautiful outdoors dining room where they serve a very elaborated Marina Alta cuisine. Rices, fish and seafood with citric flavors snd Touches of the Marina Alta's Islamic legacy. A very well curated list of wines, that accounts for the rich wine culture in the region.
