I have been to Fernandos many times. Their margaritas are my favorite. Very strong and not sour at all. I often get a pitcher with friends. The pitchers hold about stout drinks. Their food is good. Great flour chips. I love the bean dip. It has a red sauce on it that is very tasty. The pica de Gallo is very good too. For meals, they have a good chicken enchilada and their chicken taco salad is great too. My friends l... View all feedback.
Tex-Mex is what's on the menu at this popular old school West Omaha eatery. Lovers of gooey cheese will O.D. on the combo plates and other dishes loaded with the stuff, to the point that many menu items cannot be identified underneath it all. Health conscious diners do have a number of main course salads to choose from, which are loaded with fruits and greens. Beyond those items the menu is strictly Tex-Mex, with tacos, enchiladas, tamales and fajitas ruling the roost. Portions are huge, which to a point makes up for the rather bland flavors which seem to predominate most dishes. A full bar is offered, including a range of margarita options. I tried two, and wasn't happy with either. This is a casual, "come as you are" dining spot, with a comfortable but dated atmosphere. Service is fast and friendly. Prices are mostly in the $8-$13 range.
Went for lunch and place has enough space for larger group. I had beef fagitas and the portion was big i couldn't eat it myself. Food was hot and spicy. This can be recommended as one of the good places that you can have tasy and authentic mexican food.

CLOSED PERMANENTLY! Food and service use to be good years ago, but the last couple of years, under new ownership, the food and customer service sadly went downhill fast. Go the Vallarta in Blair it's good!
