What User doesn't like about La Payacha:
I had misgivings when I was shown my room. It seemed very basic and needed freshening up. The bathroom felt the same way. The room faced the river but in October there wasn't much water. However, my three days went by quickly and I adapted to the drabness. For $40 per night, it was a good deal in overpriced Aguas Calientes. Conveniently located near the train station and close to the bus for Machu Picchu. It is on the river and the noise is quite something but with the windows closed it wasn't too bad. We stayed one night and because we were leaving early (5am) we would miss breakfast, much to our surprise we had a packed breakfast waiting for us.
