We had the trout, the guacamole nachos and a pepperoni pizza. Service was excellent. Sat on the patio watched train and people go by. Great place to stop after a hike at machu pichu. Pisco sour was yummy. Thank you Franklin for inviting us. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about La Lena Grill:
Three of us decided to have lunch here while waiting for our train back to Cusco. The restaurant was not full when we sat down. The waitress spoke little English but took our orders fairly quickly. It went downhill after that. Service was very slow and finally 2 dishes were served but not my husband's pizza. My daughter and I were done eating when it finally came, and then he said it was not what he ordered but ate i... View all feedback.
This dinner was included in the MP package that I had purchased in Cusco. Not much to say about the slow service, as this seems to be the norm anywhere in Peru. It felt like they went to Cusco to fetch our beers and purchase the trout for my small main meal.
Like a lot of other reviewers, I went here as part of my Machu Picchu tour. Had I been given the choice, I would have gone elsewhere. When I entered, I told a server I was on a tour and they sat me down and gave me the menu. After a few minutes in which I 'd decided what I wanted, a different server appeared and swapped my normal menu for the tourist menu which had very limited choice. The restaurant itself was pretty shabby; there were lots of little dead flies on the table, the plates looked greasy, and the white cloth napkin was stained. Organisation was fairly poor, I ordered all 3 courses at once and somehow my main course came almost at the same time as my starter. My starter was a caprese salad which was ridiculously small, and the mozzarella on my pasta dish was the lumpy stuff that 's come straight out of a packet. All in all, not the nicest place to have dinner, and I 'll be contacting the tour company I 've used to suggest they find a better restaurant.
Went here as part of a tour package so can’t comment on price. We had a 3 course deal. I declined first course as I was late but had grilled chicken with fried potatoes then a milk cake. Both courses very nice. Also had a bottle of corona (about 16soles). Wasn’t the quickest service the drink turned up with the food, but think this is pretty standard in Perú. Was going to pop back for lunch the next day but ran out of time

4 of us ate here in a group as part of our debris. 3 of us took the ice and ended the next day with extremely bad food poisoning. This has completely ruined our last day of debris. When I spoke to another group, 3 of them had the same problem from the same night. AVOID DIESER PLACE for all COSTs!!!!!!
