The food is traditional and the ambience is that of a typical Portuguese restaurant. Despite the fact that we barely spoke Portuguese, the wait staff were friendly and spoke to us in English. Highly recommend the Bacalhau gratinado c/Alho-frances and the whole grilled sole fish. The fries were hand cut and home made. The wine we had was recommended by our waiter and it complemented the meal perfectly. We had the apple tart for dessert with ice cream and it was also divine. Will be back! Very extensive menu of fish, game e and hearty...casseroles .My pork with clams was strongly influenced by lots of roasted garlic .Good wine selection and a popular place that typifies Portuguese country cooking .
