Great little place for breakfast. The owner was the only one here and did a great job keeping up and getting the food out quickly. Nice small hometown atmosphere. View all feedback.
What evelyn penman doesn't like about Home Plate:
This place has never been cleaned. Thick dust on surfaces a look into the back room and you would never eat there! A fan that has never been cleaned a dirty old mop bucket next to the counter a server that barely grunted at us not sure why anyone would choose this View all feedback.
Biscuits and gravy as well as breakfast sandwich were good and prices reasonable. Friendly waitress. Very small bathroom.
The food is definitely homemade. We learned some history about the place from our waitress. It is a very old building so there are some cosmetic things but it has charm.
Loved how much food i got for the price that was AMAZING. FOOD cooked i front of me and WOOOOW DID IT ALL TASTE AMAZING!!IF YOU LIKE BREAKFAST GO HERE ASAP.The picture is hungry man platter

We actually stopped going here on Saturday mornings and it's too bad because we liked the food and prices. The problem is , that for the first two hours it's a one man show with the owner being the one man. That means no coffee refills and sometimes no silverware. I've been there during the week , mid morning and there's at least one server, plus the owner. The service then is great!!Should we stop eating at a place because of no coffee refills? Maybe not but like in any restaurant these days where coffee is $3-$4 a cup, you expect at least one refill!!
