The menu is constantly changing based on the available produce, and Tony the chef (or maybe his wife Adele) uses his culinary skills to create top-quality dishes with amazing flavors and fresh ingredients. Last night, we enjoyed homemade bread, olives, mussels in a creamy wine sauce, whitebait with aioli, penne pasta with spicy nduja sausage, spaghetti in a spicy tomato sauce, lamb meatballs in a herby tomato sauce, cod in a smoked fish sauce with lumpfish caviar, small chorizo bites in a honey rosemary sauce, chargrilled padron peppers with rich sea salt and black pepper, and chargrilled broccoli in anchovy and garlic sauce. The menu also included rabbit loin and devilled chicken livers, but we were too full to try them. The offer of 3 plates for £18 is a great value for such delicious dishes. We will definitely be returning soon.

The bruschetta looked like a charred, unappetizing mess and the pasta with chicken was equally unappealing. My friend and I decided to leave our food uneaten, pay our bill, and go somewhere else to eat. It seemed like the kitchen staff noticed our dissatisfaction, judging by their curious glances at us.

I appreciate the charm of the place, and although the staff can be busy at times, they are always helpful and courteous. However, the real star of the show is the fresh, flavorful, and authentic food. I absolutely love it!

Winner winner chicken dinner, we’ll no... read more After a mad hectic few weeks and not wanting to make a Sunday dinner, there was only 1 place I could think of coming too. Winner winner chicken dinner, we’ll not chicken but our group of 4 had between us beef (serviced blushing pink, but If you wanted it more cremated I’m sure Tony the the chef could oblige) gammon and also roast lamb. The meats were served with an accompaniment of mash potatoes, roast potatoes, stuffing, massive yorkies, extra cheesy cauliflower cheese, roast carrots parsnips beetroot’s and radish, plus a serving of assorted green veg and the lovely tasting braised red cabbage, with lots of gravy. Yea as you can tell you get your monies worth and you need a big appetite too for the great tasting and fresh food. We did follow it up with some amazing sticky toffee pudding with custard. It’s always a pleasure to eat here and it was great to be able to chat to the chef Tony and also the the ever reliable Endrit, there were some new personnel working tonight whom I’ve not met before but they all worked together as a great team and made the evening more enjoyable. We’ll be back before their next venture where they’ll be moving into the old sister restaurant of Mazzo across the road.
