What User doesn't like about The Swan Inn Dobcross:
We ordered food homemade pies a steak and Ale which came with an oval puff pastry top which you buy in frozen! once that was taken off there was half an inch of filling, Not impressed at all food was below average and so disappointing especially after my friend recommended it! Living on past reputation I think! View all feedback.
This a nice village pub with loads of character but unfortunately the food doesn’t match up to the cosy atmosphere. Our starters were not up to scratch, I ordered focaccia bread with olives and oil, the bread was not home made, my wife ordered beetroot falafel with olives, the sauce wasn’t authentic and there were no olives. Main course one of us ordered a medium steak which was well done and tough as old boots, to be fair they didn’t charge us for it!!, I ordered Karahi chicken curry which was not very tasty, overall the food was below standard and top price, we won’t be eating at the Swan again for a while. On the plus side the staff were very pleasant.
Visited here with my other half and my mum. Excellent!! I have nothing bad to say about the place, the girls were wonderful and food was delicious. Had to choose from a Sunday menu but we already knew about this from their Facebook page. We even had dessert (warm carrot cake is a must!!!!!!

Charming rustic traditional pub, great fresh food 3 courses for £15 value for money! Waitress was very nice patient. Lovely surroundings, picturesque villiage. Top food. Really enjoyed it. Clean pub and inviting
It was okay, katsu chicken starter bao bun was not great, very dry. The most annoying thing was we ordered two soups which were okay but we ordered one as gluten free as it came with a bread roll. The gluten free order simply came without any bread. That is not really acceptable, gluten free bread is not hard to come by. The steak and fish and chips were good and the Karahi curry was okay. When you see a menu that says vegan or gluten free, you don't expect that to mean the bread will just not appear.
