Dunegrass Country Club

The atmosphere at Dunegrass Golf Club was quite pleasant. We seated ourselves at the bar and enjoyed a lovely dinner. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by the bartender's unprofessional behavior. She rushed us by asking what we wanted to drink before we even had a chance to settle in. Our food order was delayed, with some tables that were seated after us being served first. The bartender never inquired whether we needed a "to-go" box; we had to request one ourselves. When she finally brought it, she stood over us, impatiently waiting for the dirty plate. To top it off, she dropped the check on our table without asking if we wanted another drink or dessert. The restaurant would benefit from finding a more professional bartender—just my two cents!

Visited on September 12, 2023, and the food was enjoyable! Unfortunately, the bartender was a different story. She hardly smiled and seemed to ignore us until it was time for us to go, at which point she dropped the check without a word of thanks. It's disappointing to encounter someone in the hospitality industry who clearly doesn't enjoy working with people. I've never experienced such condescension for no reason. They really should reconsider her role.

I was impressed with the condition of the course, especially given that they had received 5 inches of rain in the last two days. The staff was friendly, and the 19th hole was fantastic.

It's mind boggling that a golf course in Maine, after all the rain, is in such terrible condition. The T boxes are beat up, the greens are in such poor condition--basically, the facility needs to be purchased by a group who is willing to invest and maintain the grounds. With all the rain that Maine has received this summer, this is quite possibly the worst condition golf course I have ever seen. I do not recommend this course for anyone of any skill level, and certainly, I will not be back.

Nice carts, beautiful course. Challenging course for us. The women’s tees could use the same level if care as the men’s tees, that would be my only area they could improve.The restaurant on site was big, clean and good variety of choices. I’d go back to that course.
