A.c. Petersen Drive-in - OLD LYME

The location is amazing, and the staff is great, but I would liken the experience to that of a school cafeteria. I ordered fish tacos, which were very disappointing in both portion size and flavor; they didn’t even come with the salsa as described. My partner’s fish sandwich was also lacking in flavor and excitement. The curly fries tasted like the cheapest frozen kind you’d find at a dollar store. What a shame!

I was craving fried mussels, and this restaurant did not disappoint! The staff was friendly, the service was quick, and the food was top-notch. Next time, I will definitely try something from the ice cream menu!

Consistently great ice in beautiful location. the children who are the personal are very pleasant. many tables with sunshades to enjoy the picturesque swamps of the old lyme. this is our place for ice in the old lyme east lyme area.

The view from the picnic table dining area is fantastic! The service is provided by friendly young staff. The food is just okay; I've noticed that the burgers seem to get thinner from one season to the next. The foot-long hot dog is fine, but the quality isn't impressive. The fries are tasty, but they are quite small for the price.

My chocolate chip ice cream sugar cone was simply delicious!! Well worth the $5 price for a small cone. The staff were extremely helpful in describing several other flavors. Sitting under an umbrella outside, with a breeze from Long IslandSound, was an added bonus. My next visit I plan on ordering the clam or lobster roll.
