The owner and the hostess both seemed like nice people, making it a relaxing place to drink. The dish that impressed me was the grilled skewers of fresh shiitake mushrooms. The hostess mentioned that they were served with homemade miso, which was delicious! Also, the draft beer was ice-cold and tasted great. I will definitely go back!

If they have sea urchin, it comes in a box so you can scoop out about three pieces and enjoy it like an adult.

I went there on a Saturday evening at 6:30 PM without a reservation, and although it was almost full, I was able to just barely get a table. They have a wide variety of yakitori dishes, as well as a famous and deliciously large hamburger. The sashimi platter and the freshly fried oyster, breaded in front of you, were also tasty. I was surprised by the tomato slices, potato salad, and sliced yam that came with the meal. I would definitely like to go back for a drink if I have the chance to visit Okawa again.
