Reviews - Eischen's
Reviews summary
Eischen’s Bar, Oklahoma's oldest bar, is a hidden gem in Okarche, renowned for its outstanding fried chicken and crispy okra. Patrons rave about the simple, yet satisfying menu featuring whole fried chickens served with pickles and onions, all at an unbeatable price. Although the wait can be lengthy during peak hours, the attentive staff and bustling atmosphere add to the charm. Diners recommend enjoying the food in-house for the best experience, while fried okra consistently impresses. While the chili cheese nachos may not steal the spotlight, Eischen’s remains a must-visit for any fried chicken enthusiast.
Was Eino Brakus at Eischen's a mag?
Went on a weekday afternoon. It wasn't busy at all and had to wait quite a while. The food was delicious, and probably worth the wait. I wish their menu was a little more diverse, but the fried chicken was great and the okra was great! I like the pickles and onions as a side, too. The cash only thing is annoying. A little pricey for my tastes, but when we have a buck or two, we'll be back! That's for sure! If you've... View all feedback.
What Elliott Beahan dislikes about Eischen's:
An Oklahoma must-visit diner! This place is just 22 minutes from our home, and it was well worth the trip. They don't have many sauce options, but honestly, the food doesn’t really need it. Give them a little extra time to prepare your bun fresh; we used that time to enjoy some fried okra and chili cheese nachos. The chili cheese nachos were good, but nothing out of the ordinary. The okra, however, was fantastic! Whe... View all feedback.

Eischen's is a unique destination. It may not be for everybody. We had chili cheese nachos, fried chicken and fried okra. Everything was terrific! If that is not your idea of a fun meal, it may not be the place for you. Also, the staff are just wonderful people! It was a fun time! Food: 5 Service: 5
We loved this place. All agreed best chicken to Nannny's [my mother]. It was great our party of 14 could sit at long table to eat together.

I’m giving Eischen’s 4 stars instead of 5 solely because of the wait time. We arrived at 2:30 and waited around 20 minutes to be seated. Despite the delay, the food is always worth it. Their menu is quite small, but everything they serve is delicious. We waited about an hour for two whole chickens and a large okra dish. The food consistently arrives piping hot and fresh. Every employee at Eischen’s is friendly and works together seamlessly to take care of all the tables. We’ll definitely keep coming back.
If you're ever in Oklahoma City, it's absolutely worth the journey to sample some of the best fried chicken I've ever had!
Without a doubt, this place serves the best fried chicken in Oklahoma! Don’t miss out on the fried okra either! The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is fantastic.
We drove an hour and a half to visit this restaurant, and we couldn't help but indulge in their wonderfully tasty chicken. We missed it the moment we left. If you ask anyone in the state where to find the best fried chicken, they will likely recommend this spot. We also appreciated learning about the restaurant's history.

Eischen’s Chicken is hands down my favorite chicken in the entire world. I even flew in from Japan just to enjoy it! The atmosphere is lovely, the vibe is fantastic, and the service is top-notch. But the highlight is definitely the chicken – it’s the best I’ve ever tasted. I highly recommend their whole fried chicken, paired with fried okra and anice cold beer. Honestly, 5 stars doesn't do this place justice!
This place is lively packed and full of energy. Great chicken and great service. This is one of the classic restaurants around Oklahoma. Cash only, ATM inside FYI. Fried Okra was awesome. If you love fried chicken this is must.
My boyfriend found this restaurant and wanted to surprise my sister, her boyfriend, and me with lunch. It was about a 45-minute drive from my place, but it was definitely worth it! The menu is simple, and the staff was incredibly friendly. We ordered two whole chickens and a large serving of okra, and we ended up taking home two chicken breasts. The chicken was hot, juicy, and delicious, and the okra was cooked to perfection! You also get pickles, onions, and a side of bread. Overall, I would definitely make the drive again and return!
I had my first visit to this restaurant, and I must say, it was one of the friendliest dining experiences I've had in quite some time. The customer service was exceptional; our drinks were consistently refilled, and the food was made fresh to order. The fried chicken is the best I’ve ever had! The atmosphere is very local and reminiscent of a small town, with hospitality that is truly outstanding. I wholeheartedly recommend this place!
This place consistently serves the best fried chicken in Oklahoma! I've been here more than 30 times, and every visit is a delightful experience. The menu has remained the same since my childhood, and it truly doesn't need any changes. The pickled onions paired with the chicken are a treat for the taste buds! You simply can't go wrong with their perfect combination of fried chicken and okra!

First flight to Eischen won't be my last! it is one of those places that are in the best possible way in time. you go as much for the atmosphere as you.
I started coming here in the early 60s when I think a whole haw was $1.75, last time I was here on 11/30/2200 I was totally surprised that.
Off the beaten path, Eischen's boasts being Oklahoma's Oldest Bar. With a simple menu of just 8 items, they are able to keep their prices down. The menu and portions are designed for a family-sized appetite, so I suggest bringing friends! They do have a full bar as well. The fried chicken really is good, as is the fried okra. It is a whole fried chicken that comes with bread, sweet pickles, dill pickles, and onions for only $14! Wow! One way they keep those prices down is by only accepting cash, so don't forget to bring that with you! While I would like to suggest the Chili Cheese Nachos, which we often order to have a little variety, they are not really that good, and...read more
It's always a great time when I can go with my cousins and drink beer, eat and talk. they always have that I go to these different places and that's it.
