Came for a birthday party and was not disappointed! Great service - our party was 11 people and all orders were accurate and hot when delivered to the table. Beverages were kept full and the general atmosphere was pleasant. Always happy when I find a place that is walnut shrimp let alone as tasty as hers! The almond thing was also quite good with many almonds. The Calamari pieces were perfectly scattered and fritted... View all feedback.
What B Taylor doesn't like about Zhang's Chinese Kitchen:
We tried both locations for Zhang's in hopes it would be better than the other, but they are both terrible. They are costly; the chicken tastes and feels like rubber, as if it comes from a box out of the frozen section of a grocery store, the rice is dry and has nothing in it, and you have to order a la carte to get rice that has anything in it for even more money. I hate leaving a negative review, but it boils down... View all feedback.
Very disappointed yesterday. Thought we found the perfect chinese place. But they changed the chicken on sweet sour chicken, it's like McDonalds chicken nuggets. I asked the waitress she said yes they changed it on that another dish. Sad. She said the orange chicken didnt change. I've never tasted that. Asked for a taste of sauce but she said they wouldn't. Love their egg drop soup. But unless they change back won't be going back.
We have eaten here many times and really enjoyed their food. However tonight when we ate there the chicken was not good. It tastes like frozen prebreaded chicken nuggets. I spoke with family and they said they had eaten there recently with the same experience. Something has changed and unfortunately it is not for the best.
Three stars because the food was good and fast. We ordered online to go and it was ready quickly. The portion sizes are what I would expect for a kids meal. We thought it was pricey when we ordered it and when we got the small take out boxes that were mostly rice, we knew we overpaid. Maybe it?s better inside? It tasted good. Beware that they don?t label the take out boxes and the sauces look the same. The crab cheese wontons BARELY have filling, so don?t order those. The soup is good and a regular portion. The lack of ?adult? food was disappointing. I think we will drive the extra time and go to Wing-wah. When you order from there, they fill a regular sized take out box and give lots of meat.
We had not tried Zhangs before. I enjoy a good Kung Pau Chicken and my wife had sweet and sour chicken. Having selected the dinner combo we got soup, spring roll, a shrimp and paid extra for crab puffs. I liking spicy had hot and sour soup. You would be more inclined to call it gravy. It was very thick. Tasty though I did get a spoonful of I'm not quite sure what. The egg drop was better and my wife enjoyed it. The shrimp were large and perfectly done. That was the highlight. Spring rolls were over cooked and the cabbage was mush. The Kung Pau had good heat, but was lacking flavor. My wife's sweet and sour was heavily breaded. The sauce made the breading soggy. Flavor was not the best. She left 90% untouched. We didn't ask for to go boxes. The wait staff were friendly and very attentive. It was clean. Masks were required. They seem to have a bigger lunch crowd according to the stats. We probably will not return again.
Came for a birthday celebration and wasn't disappointed! Great service- our party was 11 people and all orders were accurate and hot when delivered to the table. Drinks were kept full and the general atmosphere was pleasant. Always happy when I find a place that has walnut shrimp let alone one as delicious as theirs is! The almond ding was also pretty good with lots of almonds. The calamari pieces were battered perfectly and fried to perfection, wish they had more dipping sauce options but nothing else could've been better for me, definitely will come again.
