delicious! our family often travels to the outer banks in north carolina and one of the highlights of our trip is an east coast donut franchise called duck donuts (it is called because it is launched in duck, nc, which is on the outside banks). What User doesn't like about Mountain Donuts “top Your Own” Gourmet Donuts:
I was looking forward to trying the vegan donuts at this restaurant, but unfortunately they fell short. The donut itself was decent for being gluten-free, but it lacked the traditional donut taste. The vegan options were limited and the glazes were overly sweet, runny, and gritty. Overall, I would not recommend this place for vegan donuts. View all feedback.
Nicer place, easy ride thru. website says they can prepare any donut as vegan. I was surprised, however, that they only offer pie donuts, not yeast. this could have been more clear on the website. I'm so futile. $3 for vegan donuts
Delicious! our family often travels to the outer banks in north carolina and one of the highlights of our trip is an east coast donut franchise called duck donuts (it is called because it is launched in duck, nc, which is on the outside banks). Every time I come back to utah, I would complain that I can't bring her here....until I found donuts in the mountains! as far as I know, mountain donuts is not connected to duck donuts, but they are very similar. they serve delicious, fresh cake donuts and I love all topping options. they have fast, friendly service and the prices are fair. I recommend visiting a definitiw. the donuts are fun and delicious.
Such a fun experience. we realized that we have to choose our own beats and glazes, etc.! they were fast and super friendly. the load had a nice, cozy sitting area (e.g. a tee shop as uncomfortable plastic benches on almost food places) and even a sweet childish table and a deck in the corner filled with. we will definitely come back!
I had no higher expectations with the reviews I saw. I'm pretty handy and this is donut stop number 68 all over the country. I enjoy checking donut places that are not their run-of-the-mill franchises. I support my assessment of 5 basic criteria, taste of the brotes itself, sharpening riches, aftertaste when they mastered a basic maplebar and cost. the bread alone tastes good. I guess they go for more of a biscuit/crown texture and taste. in principle as duck donuts only crispy. it tastes like a box of old-fashioned donuts from a food with decent frosting. they have a rich frosting that helps, but the donut is a cheap, odd chimp that I think would be better served alone with bbq as cornbread. it just doesn't hit the mark. Not by a long shot. cost were not terrible, but not worth what I tasted. ends to throw away 3 of the 4 I bought. the owners: if they ever in richmond, va, stop in petersburg outside the city, visit them beaunuts. the texture, the taste and the crispy donut to which you aim is an art form there. give it a try and see why I have a hard time with them.
The NICEST-POPLE, who work here! and the donuts are delicious! when they are in or visit, they must try these delicious fresh donuts!
