Smith’s, a Kroger brand, has made significant progress in offering vegan substitute items. In 2023, they feature products like Just Egg and a variety of vegan options under their "Simple Truth" line, among others. It's a reliable choice for anyone looking to stock up on vegan goods.
Smith's has made significant strides in recent years by providing vegan-friendly options at more affordable prices compared to health food stores or specialty markets. Their Simple Truth Organic line is quite reasonably priced when compared to other organic brands, and they offer a diverse selection of plant-based milks, vegan yogurt, and ice creams. I no longer need to drive across town to visit multiple stores just to get my groceries!
Kroger is making great strides in transforming their grocery stores to be more environmentally friendly and vegan-friendly. Their own branded meat substitutes have been a successful addition, with their chik'n patties standing out as some of the best vegan junk food I've ever tried. I've also noticed an increasing number of locations featuring bulk sections that offer a nice variety of ingredients for preparing home-cooked plant-based meals. I definitely recommend giving this grocer a try!
Best place to shop for almost everything, also can't beat the discount on fuel just for buying the groceries you needed anyway
I’m gonna stop shopping here. Everything is so expensive I know all groceries are but smiths is feeling like a luxury grocer. I try to shop the deals they have posted all over the store but you have to scan the QR code and then the app doesn’t work half the time and they don’t honor the posted price. I feel taken advantage of every time. My Oreo ice cream sandwiches should have been $2.99 not $3.99 and that’s just corporate greed (sarcasm but I am annoyed)
