The food was excellent, and the service was quick and enjoyable. The chef was lively and added to the fun atmosphere. I ordered the shrimp dish and was very impressed, while my husband had the salmon, which was probably the best option on the menu in terms of flavor. It was beautifully glazed and sweet. What User doesn't like about Kobe Teppanyaki:
After looking through other reviews, I've noticed that I'm not the only one who feels this inconsistency is a drawback. As I mentioned, the food is good, and you're essentially paying for the entertainment. Personally, I’m not one to voice complaints to chefs or servers, so speaking up in the moment about wanting more (as the owners suggest) can feel uncomfortable for many. On a positive note, our chef was very nice and professional, even though it was only his second day. We could see the table across from us enjoying tricks, flips, and an entertaining show. I understand that during the pandemic, many people are reluctant to work, and our chef was quite sweet and engaging, so we tipped him in cash. However, I do have a complaint: my husband ordered a medium-rare steak, but it arrived chopped into square pieces and cooked well done. As a pescatarian, I only ordered an appetizer, and our total came to $75.
The food was great, and the service was quick and enjoyable. The chef was lively and added to the fun atmosphere. I ordered the shrimp dish and was thoroughly impressed, while my husband chose the salmon, which was probably the best-tasting item on the menu—glazed and sweet. Everything we tried was good, but I highly recommend the salmon. The sushi was also fresh and delicious. Just a heads-up: it's best to call ahead to make a reservation, as the website doesn't mention it, but I could tell they preferred reservations and we had to wait about 45 minutes.
After reading through other reviews, I see I’m not alone in thinking this is a major drawback. As mentioned, the food is good and you're essentially paying for the entertainment. I’m not one to complain to chefs or servers, and I understand that bringing up the need for more right there in the moment can be intimidating for many. If you’re more assertive, you might consider bringing it up directly with the chef; hopefully that helps others have a better experience. As a side note, there was sushi available when we visited, though it seems it hasn’t been offered consistently due to staffing issues. I’m not sure if it’s back for the long haul or if it will come and go, but it’s worth noting.

Personally, I’m not one to voice complaints to chefs or servers, so speaking up in the moment about wanting more (as the owners suggest) can feel uncomfortable for many. If you’re someone who doesn’t mind being forthright, you might try bringing it up with the chef directly. Hopefully, this approach works for someone else. As a side note, when we visited, sushi was available, which I gather had been sporadic due to staffing issues. It's unclear if this is a permanent return or if it will continue to vary, but I wanted to mention it for anyone interested.
The interior was beautifully designed. Although we didn’t have a reservation, the wait time was reasonable. The food was outstanding, and the staff were wonderful. I really appreciated the interactions with our cook and the other group that was seated with us.
