Haf a really good guy serving us. Vegan pizza was good which was plant based pepperoni mozzarella. I had been missing pizzas. So stuch to plant based eating while satisfying craving. My husband got a beef burger fries View all feedback.
What Jenee' Jordan doesn't like about Harp And Hound:
We came here for dinner on a Thursday night. We started with the Brussels but they weren’t good. They weren’t crispy or roasted at all and the flavor wasn’t very good. I wouldn’t recommend getting them. I also got the chicken Caesar wrap and it was alright. I wouldn’t order it again but I wanted something light. I did enjoy my cocktails but I hardly ever don’t like my alcoholic drinks so not sure it’s saying too much... View all feedback.
I am disappointed to have to write this review. This restaurant has been our Friday hangout for years, and while the food has been hit or miss at times, there aren't many vegan options in Ogden anymore. However, during my recent visit, I ordered the V-BLAT and it was served with real bacon. It was only 4pm and we were the only ones dining, so it wasn't a busy night where mistakes could easily happen. The cook admitted to using real bacon by mistake, but I find it hard to believe. This isn't the first time I've questioned the authenticity of a vegan item here – I once ordered a Beyond Burger that turned out to be a meat patty. I have had enough Beyond Burgers to know the difference. I no longer trust this restaurant and will not be returning.
I would have easily given this fantastic restaurant a five-star rating for offering a dedicated vegan menu. The pizza, burger, and appetizers we sampled were all incredibly delicious.
We asked the bouncer at the vegan restaurant if we were in the right place and showed him a photo from Happy Cow. He informed us that it was not a restaurant, but rather a bar that also served food. We felt uncomfortable and unwelcome upon entering. We had to find our own table after receiving a cold response from a waitress. The service was slow and we had to ask for basic items like napkins and utensils. The food was good, but the prices were high for a burger. The atmosphere was unpleasant and not in line with other vegan establishments. It felt like a secret menu that we had to pry information out of unfriendly staff for. Despite being polite, we, and others in the restaurant, were treated poorly. The overall experience was not worth it, even though it may be one of the few options in Ogden at night. There are two restaurants listed on Happy Cow, but they appear to be the same establishment under different names. If you want good food but don't mind condescending treatment, this place may be for you. Otherwise, it's best to avoid it, as appealing as a dive bar may sound in theory.
Amazing and big plant based menu. Very indulgent (not many healthy options) but it is PERFECT for a vegan, pub menu. Updated from previous review on 2021-08-20
