Denny's - West Haven
Denny's
Description
Denny’s has become a polarizing choice among diners, with reviews ranging from delightful to disappointing. Many guests have highlighted consistent issues like poor time management, with long waits for food and inattentive service overshadowing their experiences. However, there are bright spots as well, with commendable servers who elevate the dining experience through their attentiveness and professionalism. A select few patrons described evenings filled with exceptional service and hot, satisfying meals, while others recounted cold plates and a lack of communication from staff. Overall, Denny’s reflects a fluctuating landscape of dining, underlining the importance of dedicated service amidst inconsistent operations.

Every time I come to Denny’s, I feel welcomed. The managers truly care, and the staff always treats me like family. Great service, warm smiles, and a team that goes above and beyond. The service tonight was awesome thank you! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Inside of a flying J which is under major construction. I am truly disappointed with today 's service industry and how downhill it has gone. It is even more disheartening knowing that our truckers experience this. The restaurant was cleaning, sticky table and numbered on the side with a label maker sticker half peeling off. We were seated quickly as it was not busy. Time being about noon- noon30. The sweet tea was old and would cause your blood sugar to sky rocket. After a short minute she took our order and after a few moments it came out. Cold. My Ole man 's gravy was cold and THICK, his hash browns were barely cooked, soggy and floppy but warm. My chicken was burned to a crisp and fries were almost done but none of it was hot. The ranch was super runny and Kraft brand and the syrup they have in an olive oil bottle so it takes forever to come out. Waitress was very nice and checked in twice before scooping our uneaten food up but never inquired how it was. We paid and left but $40 was NOT worth it. Price per person: $10–20 Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
Our server, Teresa (apologies if I spelled that wrong) was AWESOME! She was intelligent, attentive, efficient and friendly. My Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich was . . . OK. It wasn't very spicy and the bread was just a bit over-toasted. The taste was goodoverall, just not as fiery as I had hoped.
The place was practically empty. We were sat at a booth and waited almost 10 minutes and nobody helped us. Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3
Went here for diner on Friday. Erin was our server and she was by far the best server we ever had at this location. Food was fantastic and fast. Restaurant was clean and inviting. Definitely recommend asking for Erin on the swing shift. Drinks stayedfull. She was friendly and attentive. She answered all our questions and was patient with my kids.
