Staff was wonderful. Room had an exterior door, which made it easy to enjoy the large pond area outside with our dogs, and an interior door giving us easy excess to the available amenities inside. We will be returning in a couple weeks. View all feedback.
What Giovani O'Kon doesn't like about Americinn By Wyndham Ogallala:
On May 16th, 2022, I made a reservation for a cabin, but when I arrived on July 3rd, 2022, they had given it to someone else, ruining my vacation plans. I had to settle for a room in the hotel instead of the cabin I had expected. View all feedback.
The American Inn in Ogalalla appears to be a relatively new establishment. The lobby features a modern design with a high deck and Western influences. The room was cozy, exceptionally clean, and quiet. The breakfast provided is basic, offering a selection of cold items along with eggs and a choice of meat. However, the quality of the eggs and meat is average. Despite this, options for accommodations in the city are limited, making the American Inn likely the best choice for a stay in Ogalalla.
My family of three, along with our pet, were very pleased with our experience at this restaurant. The staff was friendly, the restaurant was clean with no bad smells, and the decor was cool. We enjoyed a hot breakfast and especially liked the beautiful dog corner in the back next to a lovely little lake. There was also plenty of space to park our RV. Overall, we would recommend this restaurant as it was a refreshing change from the past two nights we spent at the closed La Quinta hotels. Wyndham needs to update its facilities.

To begin with we experienced car problems while we stayed at the Property. The front desk person who checked us in Melissa Ruiz was great. the GM Sarah Sybrant is also great. She went above and beyond during our stay. That being said the property is in great shape. It is right off I-80. It is pet friendly with a $15 fee per pet. room 128 was very clean and during June.....the A/C was great. Breakfast was very good. There is no pool but for us that was not an issue. There is a pond behind the property that is great for fishing (so I was told). All in all a very good stay and A very good property. BTW a good Mexican rest. next door.
The staff was Friendly helpful. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was good! Had lots of choices; cereal, eggs, sausage, waffles, biscuits gravy, toast, english muffins, bagels, coffee, OJ and apple juice. Check-in out was easy.
