In December 2021, we tried the evening set for 1980 yen, which included sashimi, 2 small dishes, 4 pieces of sushi, and sake (Suisei). Although the food is delicious, the head chef's intimidating presence is overwhelming. It's just delicious. Too delicious.
In December 2021, we tried the evening set for 1980 yen, which included sashimi, 2 small dishes, 4 pieces of sushi, and sake (Suisei). The sashimi platter was surprisingly delicious for a set menu, and the 2 small dishes were also tasty, especially the monkfish liver, which went incredibly well with the sake. The sushi was served last, timed perfectly with our other orders. We also tried the seasonal shirako with ponzu sauce for 880 yen, and a sake tasting set for 1100 yen. The total bill was just under 4000 yen including tax, and we left feeling completely satisfied.
You can enjoy fresh seafood from Sanriku, such as the delicious Mantou. We participated in the "Michinoku Shio Kaze Trail" and walked for 3 days, covering 65 kilometers and taking 90,000 steps with the center being Oofunato. It was a very long journey along the magnificent Pacific Ocean, where you can feel the blessings of both the forest and the sea.
