What Mike Speed doesn't like about Grapevine Bistro:
We found the Grapevine three or so years ago but since then the food standard has declined somewhat. The starters were good but the mains were disappointing. My wife had Sea Bass with caper butter, whichturned out to be cold and insipid with no evidence of capers. The manager insisted that the chef had 'reduced ' them but the taste was simply lacking. Unfortunately we chose a night where there was just the chef and the manager to wait on us customers . We were told service was slow . It was we arrived at 7-30 and left at 10-30 , the meal itself was good apart from my steak , the chargrilled part of the steak was burnt and fried were tough .
