Our route took os to this lovely town of Vila Nova de Milfontes. The cycling company (Cycling Rentals) had recommended it as a special place for a special meal. It did not disappoint. We were in the main front area but we noticed there are many rooms to the restaurant. The front was the nicest! Ambiance was lovely, food amazing we had oysters, the grilled squid, grouper. Our waiter Fransisco could not have been more helpful with wine and other information. Ended with first Porto of the holiday. Expensive to but worth it for a special occasion!

My spe... read more I am back in this Restaurant after a couple of years and- yes it is still on an amazing level regarding food taste and the variations of wine they offer. My special thanks to Pedro for his excellent choice. We enjoyed an adventure of Portuguese cooking- every little dish had his story to tell. e.g. little tuna with Dijon mustard and smoked courgette with sweet potatoes. One dish which was very unique was the mint lemon mousse with basil. I am looking forward for my next visit.

Tasca do Celso easily become our favourite... read more Life 's to short to travel second class all the way. Been eating our way thru Vila Nova de Milfontes during the week. Tasca do Celso easily become our favourite restaurant, not least because great service. The food... the food is top notch and well presented. However on the downside , one of the younger waiters need to read more fact/ history . The equipment on the wall is not for towing behind a monkey and the fish soup contains Monkfish, Sea bass, Manta and Turbut for your info Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

It is a bread pudding with shrimps and it’s water left from boiling them. All with lots of parsley and garlic and mixed with runny yolk Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
