The friendly unpretentious local joint off season becomes an awful place to eat with the tourist season. Avoid the bad, unfriendly service and the greasy food served as if you were a pig or something! View all feedback.
A lovely lunch with plate of the day bring chicken which melted in your mouth. Filled with locals having lunch it’s always a good sign. Lunch, beers and coffee for 2 for €18 and all served swiftly and very politely.
The canja de galinha was simply delicious. Go early, as the daily special is really special and really fresh.
A 'working man 's cafe ', but not exclusively. I dropped in here several time during my short stay in NV. One day I had a chicken and cheese tosta too big for me to finish for E3.50. House wine is E0.8 a glass. For the brave they have snails and grilled pork liver on the menu. Highly recommended.
Driving from one region to another in Portugal we stopped in this sleepy town for a snack. All the locals were gathering and it seemed a good spot. The burger arrived promptly it hit the mark and frankly delicious
Surprised to drink the best coffee I ever had and I love coffee... charming local simple snack bar but amazing coffee
