Shake A Burger

Description

A beloved local stop serving crunchy cheese curds, juicy burgers and crispy tenders, but experiences vary: standout flavor and friendly service coexist with long waits, order mix-ups, over-salted or burnt items, half-cooked sides and occasional melting/poor handling of frozen desserts. Drive-thru and counter service are convenient for road-trippers and families (coin-op rides), yet staffing inconsistencies lead to slow service and missed requests. Worth a detour for the curds and homestyle cooking, but bring patience and check orders before leaving.

Such a cool, homey place. The ladies in the back were great. My girlfriend and I went in as soon as they opened (we were driving back home from a Wisconsin hiking trip) and it was some delicious breakfast/lunch ? . The cheeseburger was juicy and just cooked to perfection. The tenders were extremely crunchy and they went great with some bbq sauce. And can’t say enough about the cheese curds, fluffy crunchy and the right amount of cheese! Hope to pass by again soon and will definitely take the detour!

Food was astronomically bussin, the staff was very helpful and walked me through flavors I might like based on my palates preference. I got the pleasure of meeting the owner, Sarah, very kind and bubbly lady. Definitely worth the stop! Kid-friendliness: Coin op rides for kids to enjoy.

I’m not sure what’s going on with this place, but every time I go there, it’s at least a 20 minute wait! There can be 1 car in the drive thru and no one inside! Last night topped it! Sat I’m the drive thru for 50 min waiting for 2 ice creams and Mac n cheese bites (which they couldn’t find anywhere) and both girls working were walking in circles!! No multi-tasking ability. I could have went to Culver’s or DQ in Suamico and been back in that time!!! As a business owner myself, I understand the struggles of finding good help but this is terrible. I will be driving to Marinette or GB from now on

One of my regular stops. However the last two times were not very good. I always ask for no salt on everything because they use way too much on fries.Last Thursday it was not very busy but a young mother paid with cash and a debit card. Cashier did not know how to do it. Held up the line nearly 20 minutes. 8 others left I stuck around. Even offering to pay the 75 cents she was short.Well, after ordering two cheese burgers and shakes it was still a long wait. I watched my order made and sit on the counter for ten minutes before it was served. Then I was asked if I already got my shakes. So she started to make shakes but was interrupted by drive though order taking twice. So I did get my shakes long after my food. The onion rings were half cooked and mixed with burnt French fries.Still salted beyond edible. The cheese burgers were thin burnt beyond recognition. It's like a dry charcoal bricket.Shakes were just ok ,very melted.Sorry Sarah Just being honest.

I am known as the “Cheese Curd Nerd” so I was in the area and I made a quick stop ? to get a order of there cheese curds. Definitely was worth the stop and I definitely recommend you go try them yourselves as well. A neat little local business. I gave them a 9 on an overall review. The batter was authentic and homemade, Wisconsin yellow cheddar squeaky cheese curds, Fresh Oul, Fresh Ingredients, they packed plenty of flavor with every bite and were very crunchy too. Some quality great Curds all around. #CheeseCurdNerd #CheeseCurds #Wisco #UP
