Tokyo Express - Oceanside-Escondido

This is hands-down one of the best tasting sushi’s if you’re looking for just your classic rolls amazing flavor always consistent and they are very nice. I highly suggest Tokyo express especially for the sushi we get the Philadelphia rolls here almost daily they are amazing.

This was an unexpected stop we did. When you walk in its not much to look at. In fact it may make you turn around but I definitely recommend taking the time to try them out. The pricing for the food is amazing. Sushi between 5 to 10 dollars for 9 rolls. They were well made and the portions were amazing. We had the Fuji rolls, shrimp tempura, and the Philadelphia. We also order the bento chicken teriyaki. It brought a really tasty sweet and vinegar cucumber, rice with sesamine seed on it, California rolls and the teriyaki. The host who is also the cashier lady was super friendly. Very attentive. Always came up to see if we needed anything else. She added no extra charge 2 miso soup for us which was super nice of her considering we had our son with us. Only complain I can really have is that the amount of rice they give does over power the meal. That's it. Aside from not looking like a 5 start restaurant the service plus meal was sure great.

The food was disgusting. I asked for a crunchy roll and they gave me a disgusting mess that was not a crunchy roll. Also ordered teryaki chicken. It was gross too. I threw most of it away and I hate to waste food.

I take my mom here a lot because she loves the sushi. There is a dish that she gets rice, teriyaki chicken, sushi, tempura veggies and a small cucumber salad. Along with the Miso to begin with. I always just get the teriyaki chicken and rice (with the cucumber salad and soup). This place only takes cash and it is only open M-Th. They cater to the big casinos so they are there all the time but for walk in customers only the 4 days. I loved the food overall, but the chicken was not very juicy even though it was in teriyaki sauce. The tempura from my mom's plate was great though. And she is the one who really enjoys the place!

Kindest service. My favorites are their freshly made house yakisoba noodles, inside out spicy rolls and Philadelphia rolls. Yummmmmm Great prices too!
