And the Ingwerkleid dressing is the best I've ever had - I could put it on everything!

We ordered six different rolls and everything was de... read more I haven't been eating much since the pandemic, but I recently had some of the best sushi I've had in years. We ordered six different rolls and everything was delicious. The salmon skin roll was particularly perfect - tender salmon skin, perfectly boiled, a good size roll, and delicious sauce. The rice in all the rolls was also excellent, cooked to the right temperature and texture. The fish was fresh, flavorful, and had a great texture. Overall, everything was good, although I wasn't a fan of the fried calamari - it was average and the calamari pieces were strips instead of tubes and tentacles. I will definitely be back to try more sushi.

As far as I know, this place started that here in Oceanside. Been coming here for years for the rolls special. This place makes the best rolls with lemon and has pico de gallo on rolls. I go to LoveBoat for my quick local nigiri fix, but this is my go-to for rolls. Go during lunch and get the special roll combo for $18. Get the baked mussels, soft shell crab, beer and hot sake. Good simple lunch date or date night. Don 't order the nigiri! Know your restaurants and get what they do best! Lemon Flash, Sombrero and It 's That Hot rolls are amazing!

This is definitely my favorite quick/casual lunch spot in north county. Save the delivery fees and support the restaurant directly!
