I've always loved this place; the pizza has a thin crust and is slightly charred from the high-temperature cooking process, which I think makes it the best pizza around! Unfortunately, the service is seriously lacking, which is why I haven't been back. We arrived on a Saturday evening at 8:20, and as soon as we walked in, a young man greeted us by saying, "We close in 10 minutes," meaning 8:30—not 9:00, as their website states. He didn't invite us to sit down and simply let us leave when I mentioned we were heading to Best Pizza across the street. I don’t think that’s an appropriate way to welcome a customer, even if the closing time is approaching. So, we went to Best Pizza instead, where the service was outstanding! They didn't close early, and they treated all their customers as if they genuinely wanted their business.
Great friendly service and beautiful restaurant. Just didn't fly away from the pizza. Not nearly enough crust and kind of small. We probably try again. It's a really nice clean place.
My husband and I live in Oceanside and visited this restaurant for the first time in the late afternoon, enjoying our meal on the covered terrace. The deck was lovely and set back from the street, creating a nice ambiance. The pizza was outstanding, featuring a thin crust that was slightly charred—just how we like it. We chose a classic cheese pizza topped with house-made fennel sausage, pepperoni, roasted mushrooms, jalapeños, and onions. Our server, Phoenix, kindly mentioned that the salads were fantastic, and she was absolutely right; even a half-size salad was plenty for the two of us, which was a nice touch. We’re definitely planning to return! Let’s support our local businesses!
Easy to see why the service is so good here, staff are treated like family. If you pop in and the brisket is the special, do yourself a favor and order it. You will not be disappointed!
