We stopped on a day to look at the happy hour menu while we run around the port and now it's one of my favorite happy hour spots! It offers the longest happy hour in Oceanside, all day Monday and Tuesdays, 11 am to 6 pm the rest of the week and has a large and varied menu. Much to choose. Our favorites are Ahi Nachos, Cocos Shrimps and Fish Tacos. If you like shells, you want them with an additional order garlic brea... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Oceanside Broiler:
Food is mediocre. It is not a family-friendly place. They don't like children's presence. Don't bring your children here. They should have that before the restaurant. No children allowed. Her pasta for children was literally only noodles and cheeses. We had 12 bullets in our party. They sat outside in the sun, so we don't spend too long. None of the employees showed kindness. All flat or frowning. The only good in th... View all feedback.
We decided to check out the happy hour menu one day while exploring the harbor, and now this place is one of my favorite spots for happy hour! They have the longest happy hour in Oceanside, all day on Mondays and Tuesdays, and from 11 AM to 6 PM the rest of the week. The menu is extensive and offers plenty of options. Our top picks are the Ahi Nachos, Cocos Shrimp, and Fish Tacos. If you order the tacos, don’t miss getting an extra order of garlic bread to enjoy the sauce! I personally prefer wine, but others in my group mentioned that the happy hour drinks were pretty good. I love bringing out-of-town visitors and sitting on the terrace. Although I didn’t take any food pictures, the sunset we experienced last week was absolutely beautiful. You’ll definitely find great value here with the food, drinks, and views. I’ve always received excellent service.
The food is just average, and it's not a welcoming place for families. They seem to have an aversion to children, so I wouldn’t recommend bringing your kids here. It would be better if they stated that they don’t allow children before you arrive. The children's pasta was simply noodles and cheese, which is quite disappointing. Our group had 12 people, and we were seated outside in the sun to avoid lingering too long. Unfortunately, none of the staff were particularly friendly; they all seemed indifferent or even unhappy. The only redeeming quality of this restaurant is the view of the port; otherwise, it would definitely rate a one-star review.
We sat in both the indoor and outdoor areas, which offer lovely views of the port. The atmosphere is very pleasant, and parking is easy to find. The restaurant is also wheelchair and stroller accessible, and it’s dog-friendly too—there's even a special menu for pets! Being right next to the port makes it a great spot to stroll after dinner or visit the beach, plus there are plenty of nearby restaurants where you can grab dessert. We will definitely be back!
We loved eating here yesterday and really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The service was top notch and the food was perfect. The Calamari was thick and tender, I loved the horseradish Mariana and the tartar sauce that came with him. The fish was cooked correctly and very moist, which melted directly into the mouth. We'll be back here. Note: Try the house blue cheese dressing, it is amazing.
Awesome place right on the water. The bar area is large with tables looking out into the bay. Clean modern nautical vibe. Service was excellent, Maddy, our server was the best, attentive and friendly. They have a nice happy hour daily. Clam chowder and ceviche was good. Great **** Marys.
