Was DianeH at Mr. Bibi a mag?
I ordered the bibimbap in a stone bowl. It was similar to a Subway-style setup where you could choose your own ingredients. I opted not to include tofu because it was just plain chunks of cold tofu. I would recommend offering seasoned or fried tofu as an alternative. However, the variety of other vegetable options made up for it. The service was excellent! View all feedback.

What Axel Wiesner dislikes about Mr. Bibi:
I'm not sure if I think the right thing, but I ordered the chicken strips. I just didn't expect. strip too small, but glad that there was a decent amount. sauce on the side, if I prefer to mix it in. View all feedback.

Definitely try the hot stone bowl at this restaurant. You can customize it with your favorite ingredients. Make sure to scrape the sides of the bowl to prevent the rice from burning. The browned rice adds extra flavor and enhances the dish. I would give it a 5-star rating.

WOW! Very authentic Korean food for North SD. I grew up in LA/OC where the Korean food is amazing and on par with what you can find in South Korea. I was genuinely surprised to find this small mom and pop restaurant that specializes in fantastic bibimbap! Ordering is very similar to what you would find at a build your own restaurant (think Chipotle for example). You pick your base: fried rice, white rice, brown rice, salad or jap-chae (Korean glass noodles). You can also do half and half bases for $1 extra. As for the proteins, they offer great Korean options such as KFC (Korean fried chicken), bulgogi, or spicy pork/chicken. Toppings go wild!! Pick what your heart desires. For the sauces, you have to try the gochujang. It's like a spicy and sweet sauce that is typically served with bibimbap. The great thing about bibimbap is you can build a pretty healthy option that is filling! If it's your first time, I recommend getting it in with the hot stone. It activates all the flavors in your bowl and makes it oh so delicious. I will be back!

I highly recommend ordering the hot stone shell at this restaurant. You can add whatever toppings you like. The staff will carefully scrape the sides of the hot bowl to prevent the rice from burning, resulting in perfectly cooked browned rice that adds a delicious flavor. In my opinion, this dish deserves a 5-star rating.

I got the Bibimbap in a stone bowl. It was like a subway style where you choose the ingredients. I didn't pick up Tofu because it was just pieces of cold tofu. The only thing I would suggest is if they were seasoned or fried tofu instead of boring simple tofu. But there were so many other possibilities of vegetables, so it was good anyway. Service was great!
