Be sure to try the bruleed pear salad—it's amazing! The gnocchi is also incredibly tasty and fresh.
Meta never disappoints. The service is outstanding, and our server, Adam, is exceptional. The food is consistently fresh and flavorful. We will definitely be returning!
The space felt too cramped for a piano player and singer. While I've always enjoyed the food, it didn't quite meet my expectations this time—it seemed like there was a different chef.
Adam is our favorite waiter. Food is always top notch.
Delicious food, wonderful service, friendly atmosphere.
Meta restaurant has received mixed reviews in recent times. While some customers have found the food to be better than expected, with good options for limited diets and a cute atmosphere, others have been disappointed by the service and attitude of the owner. Complaints include charging extra for simple requests, such as chopping a salad, and providing subpar meals without addressing customer concerns. However, the portion sizes are generous, with dishes like chicken Parmesan being as big as a turkey breast. Overall, Meta offers a culinary experience worth exploring, as long as you do not encounter issues with the service.

Meta is one of our favorite spots, and they never let us down! An added bonus was the live music on Wednesday! The singer wasn’t too loud, and the music created a lovely ambiance.
The food and service were excellent, and it happened to be Valentine's Day! It turned out to be a fantastic evening!
As I mentioned in my previous reviews, META is fantastic! We visited for Valentine's Day, and as always, we made sure to try something new, and everything was incredible. The owner, Roberto, has truly mastered every aspect of the restaurant, from the decor and service to the wine selection, and of course, the food is consistently excellent! We go there every other week, so come on down for an unforgettable culinary experience! - Ricky.
Everything was perfect!! Valentine's dinner is one of my favorites and so happy we are for Meta

The food is absolutely delightful! My favorite is Pop Pop's pasta; it's so delicious that I hardly ever order anything else. However, whenever I do try a different dish, I’m never let down. The staff is also very friendly.
The food is quite good, but the space can feel a bit cramped due to the seating arrangements. The noise level can get quite loud depending on how many people are conversing. On the plus side, there is a nice bar area as well.
We have been to Meta several times and find it to be decent, though nothing exceptional. It's convenient for us, so we keep going back. However, I've noticed a few things that suggest a lack of appreciation for customers. During our last visit, we ordered a salad as an appetizer and asked the waiter if the kitchen could chop it for us. He agreed. My husband ordered a pasta dish and requested capellini instead of linguini, to which the waiter also agreed. When the bill arrived, we were surprised to see a $2 charge for chopping the salad and another $2 for the capellini substitution. Additionally, there's now a surcharge for using a credit card. Given that this is not an inexpensive restaurant and our bills always exceed $100, being nickel-and-dimed like this really leaves a sour impression. We might reconsider our decision to return.
The restaurant has changed for the worst! We have been going to Sol'e Meta since early 2000's we have ordered the famous Veal Chop forever! Well this time something was off so the waiter asked if everything was okay? I never send food back or complain but this needed to be addressed since it has never occurred before. The owner came over and said to my wife if you don't like it, just wrap it up give it to your husband. I'm sure he'll eat it.! I was thinking about making this A-Hole wear that plate of food but I held my composure and let it go the owner then the A-Hole went on to saying they had sold over 30 of those meals tonight and no complaints and told us he will send out sauce from the Kitchen to taste . I told him OK taste it with me and let me see your reaction he put it on the table and simply walked away, I did taste it and it was gross. The owner did not come back to ask what I thought of it We asked for the check and the way they brought the check back to the table. He was also upset that the owner was still charging, us for this disgusting meal asked if I would like to speak to the owner about the charge, I simply told the waiter no, that's not necessary. We paid the bill tipped the waiter as we always do The waiter the apologized for the owners actions and said I hope it's better next time I said to the waiter on the way out sorry this is the last time that I will be coming to meta Good luck new owner! You are not going to make it with your disgusting attitude and food that you let out of your kitchen without listening to the customers that are coming to your restaurant!
Great food , great service by our waiter Willie. I had the Nana's ragu which was excellent along with a taste of the chicken cutlet parm, delicious.

**Price per person:** $100+ **Recommended dishes:** Chianti Braised Short Ribs **Parking availability:** Ample parking **Parking options:** Free parking lot
I had dinner at this restaurant and it was a great experience overall. The food was delicious, earning a solid 4 out of 5. The service was outstanding, with attentive and friendly staff, which definitely deserves a 5. The atmosphere was also pleasant, providing a nice setting for a meal, so I’d rate it a 4 as well. In terms of cost, we spent between $50 and $100 per person. I would recommend this place for a lovely dining experience!
The food was enjoyable. We started with a selection of appetizers at our table with friends. The eggplant meatballs were tasty, and we also tried the baby clams, although the sauce was much thicker than what we've experienced with other clam dishes that typically feature white wine, butter, and olive oil. The “DONUTS” shrimp balls were quite good as well. The veal chop was decent, served with a thick brown sauce that might have had a cheese base, and the mashed potatoes tasted like they came from a box. The rockfish was good. The service, however, was excellent. For dessert, we had pistachio tartufo and warm dark chocolate brownies paired with vanilla chocolate gelato. As for parking, the lot tends to fill up on Saturdays and Sundays, but street parking nearby is usually okay.
The sauce is boss. And boy do they have good sauces, from the mussels to the rigatoni. My mouth left satisfied after entering to a beautiful local-to-me establishment; a welcome departure from the Sole of the past. Wallpaper brings us back to a rustic time, and the fresh ingredients are brought to life from the chef. The paper place setting while i understand how easy it makes turnover, kinda gives the place a in-and-out place instead of one where I want to sit down and spend some time. I did go alone and got the normal amount of stares but aside from that I had a great time. Wait staff checked on me often, drinks were tasty effective, but I feel like they may be pricing themselves a little high but can get away with it because the food does taste very good, and looks very inviting for a family. Parking: Free street parking, plentiful, large free municipal lot down the block
The food at Meta was enjoyable. We began with several appetizers shared among friends. The Eggplant Meatballs were tasty. The Baby Clams had a much thicker sauce than usual, which typically features white wine, butter, and olive oil. The "DONUTS" shrimp balls were delicious. The Veal Chop was decent, served with a thick brown sauce that seemed cheese-based, accompanied by mashed potatoes that tasted more like they came from a box. The Rockfish was well-prepared. Service was outstanding. For dessert, we had the Pistachio Tartufo and warm dark chocolate brownies served with vanilla chocolate gelato.

This restaurant is stunning. It's quite cozy and intimate. The food is exceptional. The little puffs were flavorful and crispy, and the rice balls were rich and creamy. While there could have been a bit more of the calamari on the plate, it was still delicate and tasty. I loved the sauce. Pop Pop's Pasta was fantastic! It had the perfect blend of flavors, and the garlic oil was expertly done. I'm unsure of the base for the meatballs, but the rosemary and pine nuts were almost undetectable!
This restaurant is absolutely gorgeous. It's very small and has a cozy, intimate atmosphere. The food is exceptional. The little fritters were flavorful and crispy. The rice balls were delightful and creamy. While there could have been a bit more seasoning on the plate, everything was still delicate and delicious. I really enjoyed the sauce. Pop Pop's Pasta was fantastic! It had just the right balance of flavors, and the garlic oil was perfectly done. I'm not sure what the meatballs were based on, but the rosemary and pine nuts were almost undetectable!
This was my third time dining here, and the experience was fantastic, both in terms of the food and the service. My previous visit had a bit of a service hiccup, but that was my fault for not being attentive. The dessert was wonderful, and the wine prices are very reasonable.
I drove past this place because I didn't pay her. I decided to stop in 1 day as a last resort man I was surprised how good the pizza was. The Def earn the 5 stars I give them.
I was there on Saturday with my date for the first time. The food was out of this world. The service was outstanding. The staff was just the best. I am looking forward to going back again!

Wonderful local upscale Italian food with big portions. Great pear brulee salad, chicken scarpiello, shrimp risotto among others.
This restaurant is excellent. Ordered the chicken parmigiana dinner it was great. I highly recommend checking out this restaurant. You will not be disappointed.
We have patronized this establishment for a number of years and had gone to Robert's previous restaurant CIELO in Rockville Centre as well. The service is always welcoming and impeccable. The food is always scrumptious from salads and soups thruentrees and deserts. Never a bad meal and you can't plan on losing any weight dining here! Perfect for a celebration and thereis also a private party room. Reasonably priced, delicious food, a generous Black Friday sale on Gift certificates every yearthe day after Thanksgiving...my only suggestion? They should dim the lights down just a tiny tweak to create a more intimateambiance. One of our favs and you can't go wrong!
Great service and great food! We had not been there since before pandemic and we were happy to see they take credit cards now too! Sangria that my husband ordered was made fresh and perfect he said so he ordered another! Lol. We live with in walkingdistance and will probably make this our monthly date night spot. The parpedelle bolognese and chicken parm were delicious andso was the bread pudding!
Visited Friday for my first time here. Wasn't a nearby place for me but so glad I came. What an amazing place! Such service and and the food...phenomenal! Can't wait to come back!

The restaurant provides a dedicated vegan menu featuring a range of appealing choices. I especially enjoyed the vegan ravioli.
