IMHO one the best restaurants in ocean beach. Great place to sit outside, watch sunset over the bay and have a drink. Food has been consistently great. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner
Expensive, but so is Fire Island generally. The difference is that here, the food is actually very good compared to the mostly-mediocre alternatives on the island. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $100+
The views from this restaurant are absolutely amazing!!! Food was OK nothing special! Service not so good! But overall we made the best of it !! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $100+
Went here with relatives for a special occasion. Service is very good but the food is subpar. Even though it was a weekday during the busiest time of the season, they were sold out of a lot of menu items. We ordered salad to share and were disappointed to find it mostly greens. I ordered the chicken skewers for myself. It was just average. The chips, while homemade, were extremely salty. The side salad that came with the main was the same as the appetizer salad. Others in my party who ordered the burger and seafood tower seemed satisfied. However, those who ordered the muscles felt sick the following day. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice and feels upscale. Service is top notch too.
The service was good, the view was beautiful, it took a long time for the meal. I ordered a burger Medium to medium rare. It showed up well-done. Not a drop of pink when cut open. I sent it back. The next burger was the same, not even pink. 3rd times a charm? Not really. It had a little pink. While the server, who was lovely kept apologizing, we assured him it was not his fault, and really a manager should be stopping by at this point. Then out came Zack. Apparently both manager and Chef, hands on hips, with attitude saying “What can I do for you?” We started to tell him about the burgers, he cut us off, insisting the second burger was a perfect medium, arguing about it when we said it was well-done, became nasty, said I don’t. care I’ll take it off the bill, and turned and walked away with his obnoxious attitude. Someone needs to explain to Zack what hospitality means. Taking an item off the bill, but doing so with an attitude and being obnoxious to your customers, is not how you handle a situation where the customer did not need to leave feeling compelled to write a poor review. He clearly is not educated in his own field. He should go read “Unreasonable Hospitality”
