There was one very friendly and cheerful waitress, and another one, who looked and behaved like she 'd rather be somewhere else, a bit impatient, and a bit snappy... that 's the one who served us. We looked into a menu that seemed to be more for dinner, than for lunch guests. However, we ordered the 'daily menu ' of what 's generally called 'Schnitzel/Pommes Frites ' in Switzerland. The meat was excellent and cooked to the point, so were the fries, even the veggies were excellently prepared. Unfortunately, vegetables and fries were a bit bland. However, when the chef came to ask if it was all right, he took my judgement of the undersalted sides with a smile, and agreed. (Well, it would have been nice to make up for it, maybe by comping us the drinks, but I still ate the food, so he 's not to blame! He 's friendly and polite, with a good sense of humor, and I enjoyed and appreciated the quick chat. Why didn 't I give more than 3 stars? Because of the grumpy waitress for one... and because it 's not easy to walk a handicapped older lady 20 or so steps down and back up to the restrooms. (I asked, and these were obviously the only powder rooms . (And don 't make any mistake: the food is quite costly. You really pay for what you order. Still, the chef knows what he 's doing!
