On a nice day the terrace is in the sun and right on the piste: perfect location and setting. For lunch, outside, on a nice day, there was too few staff serving (and cooking); it was a very long wait. The lunch menu is also rather small and rather pricy for what you get for it.
Lovely stuff and excellent food for a Hütte. The Marronitörtli was magnificent of course you have to queue when it's nice weather and if you want to sit outside. We got a place inside quicker.
This was in the past a fine place to sit, but we were very positively surprised by the new operators. Top hospitality with enthusiastic service, Swiss après-ski music and now even extra outdoor space due the picknick tables they added. The prices are also very fair.
I visited Bergrestaurant Stäfel and found it to be fairly average overall. The location is convenient when you're skiing, but it didn’t really stand out. The Swiss food was acceptable, but nothing particularly memorable. Given the high prices, the value for money felt a bit underwhelming—fairly ordinary for what you’re paying. The service was generally fine, but the overall atmosphere could have been more welcoming. The maître d’ came across as a bit gruff, which didn’t help the overall vibe. P.S. The photo referenced was taken around 12 p.m., at which time the tent was still up.
