Anyone who has already taken the car from Munich to Garmisch has noticed Robert Schotten in the former post office in Oberau. On the one hand, the house is located at the narrowest point of the road, and on the other hand, unusual pieces of furniture that serve outdoors as eye-catchers try a stop. Since a week Schotten has opened his post garden after this house. Reason enough for me to stop on my way home today. There are enough parking spaces and I crossed the freshly landscaped beautiful outdoor area as a highlight a small pond in the middle and stand in front of the “building”, which at first glance looks like three party tents together. Within the tents only the ceiling has remained, but looks good. Otherwise a typical gravel style: wood, old and new, combined with an effective overall image. It doesn't make him so fast, and he's famous for it to the limits of the district. A very politely charming waiter greets me, lets me take a place on a window and tells me that there is no menu in the traditional sense, but a daily changing offer. I remember seeing two dishes on a table in front of the entrance. Ask for what there are for Schorlen and choose a Mangoschorle 0.5 l. € 3.20 . When this is served, I learn from the waiter what to eat there are about five dishes. I like that, but there are some who prefer to see it black on white with prices. My Tagliatelle with fried shrimps, basil umpesto and supplement salad will later be beaten with € 16.50. The salad is crunchy fresh, besides leaf salads I enjoy tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and corn, a fruity Italy dressing harmonized well. Cooking noodles means something, at least he catches the perfect cooking point on the Tagliatelle, shrimp tastefully perfect, only in the Pesto he was too economical. Too bad, otherwise it would have been good for five points. The tomatoes were pleasantly hot without being soft. Satt and satisfied I ordered an espresso and the bill. The espresso was just a drop, the swallowing was hardly rewarded; , the price of € 1.80 is nevertheless considered appropriate. To the toilets you have to go through a side door and back into a small annex. Scotly Top designed and bright clean. Conclusion: I am thrilled!! Will come more often, even if the federal road that is always blocked by cars is a small drop of wormwood. But I like to buy it.

We came late looking for a place to dinner, the bartender/waiter and cook were very accomodating. I had the barbeque with steak, pork roast and ankle or Hock and grilled or roasted mixed vegetables. Excellent presentation too!
