Great food! Our soups literally came out of heat at the table. Large portions and excellent taste. The chicken soup was full of potatoes squash carrots and a chicken leg. The tortilla soup was the best I ever had. Mole negro was divine... with a big chicken leg and rice that was even special. Super salad with beautiful presentation. Yeah, they were from a few beer brands. So? One more thing. All food seems ready to o... View all feedback.

I was looking for something Mol did and was recommended here. It didn't disappoint, it would say it's the best mole I had! General portion sizes and a good selection on the menu.
I waited till the end of my trip to write this review. It's confirmed this was the BEST black mole I had in Oaxaca. Her mole is so complex smokey, semi sweet but super savory. Hands down the best and I was on...a mole hunt down for two weeks. Try the mole!!!
We were drawn by the great reviews. The place has a family-run and local charm to it. However we felt the service was very uninterested and the food rather boring. Not as good as several other Mexican places we tried
Variety of moles served with rice and tortillas. Not quite as good as I remembered from a few years ago. Very friendly staff. They have beer but I was in the mood for a cocktail or glass of wine, neither of which was on the...menu and I did not inquire if they had any.
Had an incredible experience here on my trip to Oaxaca. A wonderful introduction to chapulines and other local dishes, with great service. The revelation of Molen was a nice way to taste many different dishes and the portion sizes are generous.
